Bid Duty Contract
Glossary of terms
What is a Bid Duty Contract?
With a bid duty contract, you agree in writing with the grid operator to use your CSP to upsell or downsell at a specified location against a forecast for that location. With a duty to bid contract, this gives you a duty to make redispatch bids via GOPACS at the request of the grid operator.
A duty to bid contract offers more certainty for both grid operator and connected parties than Redispatch. Thus, the grid operator has the certainty that the congestion problem will be solved and you have the certainty of pre-agreed terms and fees.
GOPACS is an initiative of the Dutch grid operators:
Flex available?
Join GOPACS! Participating in GOPACS is interesting for every market party with the ability to influence electricity consumption or the generation of electricity, which can offer this flexibility to trade.
