EAN code

What is an EAN code?

EAN stands for European Article Numbering. It is a code used and recognised throughout Europe. Every gas connection and every electricity connection has an EAN code, a unique identification number linking the connection to a specific user/address.

This code is used to exchange information between network operator and energy supplier. You can look up your connection's EAN code in the grid operators' EAN code book.

GOPACS is an initiative of the Dutch grid operators:

Coteq
Enexis
Liander
Rendo
